We often use the corner as discipline -- I have found that especially if my kids are whining, this is a great tool. It's basically a time-out but they can't watch the other kids playing (they could care less if they just have to sit on the couch -- still lots of activity to watch). The general rule is they stay there til they are done whining.
Anyway, my 1 and 1/2 year old was in the corner this morning. I had just stripped his PJs off so he was just in a diaper -- and he looked so, so cute standing there! Is that a totally mean mommy or what????
